Your data & choices
Control what stays on your device and what you choose to share.
Keep practice on your device
Open the app’s menu → Semantic Review and switch Semantic Review off. This stops future online meaning checks. Local exact-answer checking remains available.
Switch Share usage metrics off to stop future usage uploads and clear queued metrics. Previously uploaded data remains until it expires or you delete it. These settings apply to every learner on the device. Online features are for adult learners aged 18 or older; turn Semantic Review and usage sharing off before a child practices, and do not submit a child’s answers in reports.
Delete a local learner
Open Account (or Learners), choose the menu beside the learner, select Delete learner, and confirm Delete learner and progress. This removes that learner’s local progress and saved answers.
Deleting a local learner does not delete previously shared metrics or reports. Use the shared-data control above for those. Device backups are managed separately through your Apple settings.
Review before sending
Usage sharing excludes answer text. A grading report shares only after an adult opens the preview and chooses Send this report. You can edit the transcript, remove personal details, or cancel instead.
Request help with your data
Email help@spxc.app to request access, correction, or deletion, or to ask about consent. Tell us which data you mean without sending unnecessary personal details.
We cannot remotely retrieve local learner records. We may need information to verify and locate a request, and may be unable to link an email to an installation after the app is reinstalled. For vendor-held information, we can help you contact TypeSafe; its retention and deletion terms are separate.
Read the privacy policy for retention details.
