Keep practice on your device

Open the app’s menu → Semantic Review and switch Semantic Review off. This stops future online meaning checks. Local exact-answer checking remains available.

Switch Share usage metrics off to stop future usage uploads and clear queued metrics. Previously uploaded data remains until it expires or you delete it. These settings apply to every learner on the device. Online features are for adult learners aged 18 or older; turn Semantic Review and usage sharing off before a child practices, and do not submit a child’s answers in reports.

Delete shared data

1. Keep the app installed and connect to the internet.
2. Open the app’s menu → Semantic Review.
3. Choose Delete this device’s shared data, then confirm Delete shared data.
4. Wait for Shared data deleted. If deletion fails, reconnect and retry.

This removes this installation’s retained optional usage events and submitted grading reports and turns off usage sharing. It also clears queued metrics. It works even when Semantic Review is switched off.

Your local progress and saved answers remain. Minimal service authentication and usage-limit records remain until their normal expiry. Other installations are separate. This control does not make a deletion request to TypeSafe or remove support emails.

Use this control before reinstalling the app or resetting your device. Otherwise, the installation identity needed to locate these records may no longer be available. Shared events and reports normally expire after 30 days.

Delete a local learner

Open Account (or Learners), choose the menu beside the learner, select Delete learner, and confirm Delete learner and progress. This removes that learner’s local progress and saved answers.

Deleting a local learner does not delete previously shared metrics or reports. Use the shared-data control above for those. Device backups are managed separately through your Apple settings.

Review before sending

Usage sharing excludes answer text. A grading report shares only after an adult opens the preview and chooses Send this report. You can edit the transcript, remove personal details, or cancel instead.
